"We're a couple of days away from victory," Hugin told the crowed gathered at Saturday's rally. When asked how he's feeling about the race, Hugin said, "I feel good," then he added, "but you can't take anything for granted." The group’s second ad, “Alive,” explains how Hugin made more than $100 million for himself by doubling the price of a lifesaving cancer drug. In July, Patients For Affordable Drugs Action was the first group to expose Bob Hugin’s price-gouging tactics by airing “The Guy Who Made A Killing,” an ad which explains how Bob Hugin got rich on the backs of cancer patients. The new ad will air Thursday during the Eagles-Giants game on NFL network and on digital platforms. “I hope our new ad drives home the point that New Jersey voters should stop Big Pharma CEO Bob Hugin from ever taking the oath of office.” “Bob Hugin and Martin Shkreli are cut from the same cloth –– they both had no problem forcing patients into debt or fear to line their own pockets,” said David Mitchell, a cancer patient and the founder of Patients For Affordable Drugs Action. The ad is part of Patients For Affordable Drugs Action’s more than $3.2 million campaign to expose the truth about Big Pharma CEO Bob Hugin. Martin Shkreli raised the price of a lifesaving drug, too, stoking panic and uncertainty in the HIV/AIDS and cancer communities. ![]() ![]() Ping improvements through gaming monitors are most apparent in wireless connections, however. However, depending on how old your router is, an upgrade to a gaming router may show improvements to ping. Mostly, there’s not much you can do to reduce ping other than using a VPN or connecting via an Ethernet cable. If you’ve ever wondered why your game felt a lot slower and less responsive than a single-player game, ping is likely one of the main culprits behind it. Why Gaming Routers Are So Useful They reduce ping Ping is one of the major factors that contribute to the sluggishness of your connection. And that’s where gaming routers come in - designed to minimize ping and optimize connections, both wired and wireless, gaming routers allow you to stay connected and play games without interruption. With more and more games requiring more packets of information per second, you need modern routers to keep up with the demands. The closer you live to the physical server location, the faster it is, but other factors can affect pings such as your router and the strength of your connection. Ping is the time it takes for your computer to communicate with the game’s online servers. Then there’s ping, which is the delay that comes from your Internet speed. This means that your computer and your router need to constantly communicate to ensure you don’t get disconnected from the match. Depending on the type of game you play your device may need information every split second. While it’s all very fun, this poses a unique requirement to your device - a constant and stable connection to the Internet. Video Games and the Internet Many video games these days have a multiplayer element that involves playing with other gamers from around the world. This guide will cover the fundamentals of gaming routers. I stayed in the hospital two weeks by her unconscious body and had to deal with ending her life support when they said there was no possible chance of a meaningful recovery. Her struggle was unnoticed as she spiraled down and tragically died, still a great beauty aged 45. ![]() She had been married with two fine teenage children when life started to go wrong and a tragic chain of events had left her isolated in a small unfriendly market town. She was a person who lit up rooms, immensely charismatic and funny and capable. I was exceptionally close to my only sister and she died age 45 ten years ago. The quotes and comments here have helped me feel less alone. ![]() Susan Dryden Henderson Januat 10:48 pm Reply So I’m just left here, alive, a fraction of who I once was. She’s dead and so is the part of myself that I gave to her, I know that nothing will ever fill that missing piece again. I didn’t even know I could feel like this. I’ve lost 2 of my best friends before and my Uncle who was like a father to me growing up but this…. I feel like I’m not allowing myself to fully come to terms with it because I’m not strong enough to handle a loss like this. I haven’t slept a wink, every day is like I’m in a fog. There’s this nearly unbearable pressure in my chest, I’ve been perpetually on the verge of tears since I heard the news but I haven’t been able to truly and honestly cry. Now she’s gone and honestly I’m still kind of in shock. She was my twin flame, I have no doubts about that. No matter how bad any fight got, we came out the other side stronger. Even during the darkest hours of our relationship (and trust me they were DARK) there was never a time when we let the situation make us lose sight of the love and companionship we had. She showed me strengths and weaknesses I could have never imagined I had, and helped me learn to improve on them. We helped each other grow and learn both as a couple and as individuals. I feel like the world just keeps passing by and I can’t catch the train to continue on this journey. I’ve lost grandparents/friends and other family members but there is just something about losing your mom and dad almost together. My heart now understands what “grief” really is. I am also angry that they passed from Covid as others I have read about. Just celebrated Mother’s Day (1st without my mom) tough. It seems like it never goes away or gets easier. Do Ross’s references turn the album into “365 days of diary scribblings too wildly haphazard in subject matters to warrant deep study”, as told by this reviewer? No, not quite. Famously, ‘Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off’ is a line from Closer, the 2004 film that Fall Out Boy also referenced on their hit ‘Thnks fr the Mmrs’. References to Chuck Palahniuk, most notable for his penmanship of Fight Club, abound, with song titles named with quotes from his book Survivor and lyrical motifs drawn from Invisible Monsters and Diary. And yet, Urie crooning on the track about the band being “young” and “desperate for attention” actually seems wholeheartedly unhypocritical, especially because they were seeking attention and they did end up receiving it upon the album’s resonance globally.Ī Fever You Can’t Sweat Out is also gorged on cultural references, another point of contention for critics wildly committed at the time to pulling it apart. ![]() Sure, retrospectively frontman Brendon Urie, the band’s only remaining member, did point out that ‘The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide is Press Coverage’ might seem pretentious, forecasting success when the band “hadn’t done anything” at that point in time. ![]() While critics didn’t see it, fans did, as Squire articulates: “There’s a lot of depth that record that I think really clicked with people,” he asserts. Speaking to Blunt Magazine for a profile piece recently, producer Matt Squire noted that the unexpected success of the album, which has now been certified in the United States as triple-platinum, can be attributed in part to Ross’s words. Singing on ‘Camisado’, Urie vocalises Ross’s nightmares: “You’re a regular decorated emergency/The bruises and contusions will remind me what you did when you wake.” While Ross’s dad passed away a year after the album was released, Rolling Stone ascribed his trauma-inspired lyrics with the quality of “whininess”. We know at least that tracks ‘Nails For Breakfast, Tacks for Snacks’ and ‘Camisado’ were penned by lyricist Ryan Ross about his father’s struggles with alcohol abuse, an experience that only the cruelest among us (see: Pitchfork calling the band “barrel-scrapers”) would accuse him of fabricating. Bar an anomalous few, reviewers largely disparaged the album for a lack of “sincerity, creativity, or originality”, which fans have since argued vehemently against. Given its staying power over the sixteen years since its release in 2005, why then was it condemned at the time by critics? ![]() The debut album from Panic! At The Disco (then a band, now the solo moniker of frontman Brendon Urie) is the former – it’s viewed reverently as a modern classic, with a high probability that non-fans will still be able to recite at least the chorus of its lead single, ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’, word for word. There are records that history has forgotten, and then there are albums like A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out. Our client SDKs give you everything you need to use the API, so most developers don’t actually have to understand much about Thrift. The only way to create a local notebook is to be a paid customer, whether by Office 2016 or Office 365.If you follow this blog, you’re already well aware that the Evernote API is built on the Apache Thrift framework. Perhaps the biggest flaw of OneNote is that free users must store their notebooks on OneDrive. In OneNote, you can only encrypt sections (not notebooks or pages). In Evernote, you can only encrypt selections of text (not notebooks or pages). And, as you might've guessed, it doesn't exist in the Mac version. Docked Editing is admittedly a niche feature but it can prove beneficial to productivity under the right circumstances. No Page Templates in the Mac version yet. ![]() Page Templates can boost your OneNote productivity by making it so you don't have to deal with boilerplate formatting setups every time you create a new page. While the Mac version does track deleted pages for up to 60 days, allowing you to restore them if needed, it doesn't yet have the ability to track individual changes made to pages. OneNote offers more layers of organization than Evernote (notebooks, sections, pages, subpages), but if you need even more granularity or searchability, custom tags become super useful. In a lot of ways, OneNote on Mac is more similar to the web or Windows Store versions of OneNote - that is, it's missing several of the great features that truly set OneNote apart from its competitors: If you're hyped for OneNote and want to get started right away, there's one big reality check that needs to take place before you dive in: OneNote on Mac still has a lot of catching up to do behind OneNote 2016 for Windows. Even on a small phone like my Moto E, it never feels cramped or slow, making it one of the best note-taking apps. This one is also subjective, but I've found that OneNote's mobile apps are faster, better designed, and easier to use than Evernote's mobile apps. Evernote only has drawing support in its mobile apps. OneNote pages can include advanced mathematical equations and handwritten notes that are made using a mouse or stylus. Whereas Evernote is like any other text editor - broken into lines of text - OneNote has "paragraphs" that can be moved around on the page however you want. This one is subjective, but I firmly believe that OneNote's interface is more intuitive, easier to navigate, and better organized than Evernote's interface. Evernote can be used for free, but some of the more useful features are only available to paying customers (offline notebooks require Plus, searching text in a PDF requires Premium). What are the benefits of OneNote over Evernote? I'm as big a fan of OneNote as they come, but even I will tell you that OneNote is not for everyone! Is OneNote Right for You?īefore you jump in and migrate everything, take a moment to consider whether OneNote will actually be better for you than Evernote. Windows users already had access to OneNote Importer, but now Mac users can join the party. ![]() Microsoft just released a free Evernote-to-OneNote migration tool for Mac users. |
